Mustapha Ouhssain graduated with a Master’s Degree in Marine Sciences specializing in Reactive Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Modelling (CHARME) from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Toulon.
From 2006 to 2009 he worked as Biogechemist at the CNRS in the laboratory “Hydrosciences Montpellier”. Then became in 2009 CNRS assistant engineer in “Observatoire Oceanologique of Villefranche sur mer”, a research group of CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique). He was a member of the National Service for Phytoplanktonic Pigments Analysis (SAPIGH).
Since 2015 he is a Research Engineer in the Red Sea Research Center (RSRC) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). In this context, he operates in the implementation of optical sensors and biogeochemical samples for the Integrated Ocean Processes (IOP) team. His research is dedicated to the use of new observational techniques based on gliders and profiling floats to study biophysical interactions.
